The location is a bit far from the town center!!! Check for noisy functions on weekends if you're planning to sleep early!!! The lack of proper soundproofing from the function room is really disappointing!!!

Diving into a delicious full Irish breakfast was a culinary adventure, even if I didn’t order it! And the hotel did treat me to an upgraded suite, which was a nice surprise amidst the chaos. The Dome play centre was a blast for the kids too, keeping them entertained while I relaxed.

my son was really looking forward to splashing around. Last visit, they had the changing facilities and showers shut too, so this feels like a reoccurring issue.

The family room we stayed in was spacious and impeccably clean, providing plenty of room for relaxation. The bathroom was impressive, especially with lovely large towels that felt luxurious. The complimentary tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch for unwinding after our adventures.

I was absolutely delighted with the kids club, where the little ones had an absolute blast! The Dome was a hit, allowing the kiddos to play and enjoy themselves. Plus, breakfast was served until 10:30 and continuously topped up, ensuring we were fueled for our day's adventures!

I spent 3 nights in a Superior Double or Twin Room at the Talbot in Carlow. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming me with a few Crunchie bars in the room—definitely a nice touch after a long drive. The room itself was clean and spacious, but it lacked air conditioning, making it really hot at night. I also encountered a minor issue during my stay, the mirror in the lift was damaged, which seemed a bit odd. The pool was lovely and warm for my baby, but I had to buy swim caps on-site because I wasn't informed about that requirement beforehand. There were several cobwebs dangling from the ceiling and some separation between the wall and sink unit. the restaurant had a decent breakfast selection with large, soft towels in the bathroom that felt luxurious. the heat in the room was quite uncomfortable, and when the fire alarm went off unexpectedly one morning, it startled me. The pool changing room had no cubicles, which felt awkward, especially for family-changing. I enjoyed my stay but felt I got less value for money with the lack of swimming opportunities and some unpleasantries.

Just a good match for a weekend in Carlow with decent price value. The view of the countryside from the dining room was stunning. Hit the bar early in the evening for the best choice on the menu.
